Bonefish
I was introduced to bonefish by friend Bob Malizia. Bob will read this for the first time and be convinced I am on drugs. Bob has many friends and infinitely more acquaintences than me. I am a selectively social person. for the most part an intravert, with tendencies (sometimes alcohol induced) for extraversion. However, Bob and I enjoy fishing. We love the tall tales of 1000 lb Atlantic Bluefin Tuna off the coast of Montauk. So when we go, either ithe wind bloes too hard, the seas are too rough, or we get sick.
Bob told be a story of a friend of his that travels. Travels a lot. He also fishes. Bob told me how this man goes fishing for bonefish. (a fish that has a lot of bones??) An elusive creature worthy only of the most skilled sportsmen with big money, lots of time to travel, the full compliment of equipment to put a retail store to shame.

So what do I do? I read about this fly rod manufacturing company. After all, I can be worthy, and don't need any excuses. A phrase I came to adopt is "Hey, I don't cut corners!" Eventually? No now... So enter Streams of Dreams. Visit their site and read their Bio's. You have to visit and meet Hercules and his son Johnny the Clubber Huff. Now that's misuse of a nick name, but ask him about it. If you have an hour.
So I go on my first "Real" trip. Hercules continued to blow me away with his hospitality, sharing of knowledge and assistance with identifying "the" guide I should go out with.
My first trip was to North Riding Point Lodge - recommended by Lefty Kreh as an excellent fishing destination that you could bring your wife to. This picture starts to say it all. I fished with "Stanley Man" their head guide and then with Ish. It was absolutely unreal...
